Office star stranded, The actors who play Pam, Jim, Dwight and other beloved characters from the popular NBC show "The Office" bade farewell on Saturday to the northeastern Pennsylvania city of Scranton that served as the TV setting for their fictional paper company.

The NBC mockumentary about a clan of quirky cubicle-dwellers at the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Co. wraps up May 16 after nine seasons, and a crowd estimated at 10,000 attended a "Wrap Party" in Scranton to show their appreciation.

Jenna Fischer, John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson and other stars rode in classic convertibles and posed for hundreds of photos as fans thronged around them. The stars later took the stage in front of the Lackawanna County Courthouse and played a concert with The Scrantones, the band that performed the show's theme song.

Steve Carell, who played office boss buffoon Michael Scott, wasn't expected to make an appearance but surprised fans at a celebration later outside the city at PNC Field, home of the New York Yankees' Triple A affiliate, The (Scranton) Times-Tribune reported.

As she rode down Linden Street, Fischer teared up, overwhelmed by the adoring crowds. Krasinski said afterward that he couldn't process it.

"To have this many people coming out of their way, driving from different places, to just see us and just say thank you is totally bizarre. You have a lot of amazing experiences when you have this gig, but there's nothing like people genuinely saying thank you," he said." I don't think we ever realized how many people we had touched."

Briquelle Hoppes, 22, of Louisville, Ky., drove 11 hours with her fiancé and two friends — skipping town on Kentucky Derby day — to attend the Wrap Party, keeping themselves awake overnight by playing old "Office" episodes through the car speakers and shouting "Ain't no party like a Scranton party 'cause a Scranton party don't stop," a classic line from the show.

She said she never misses an episode and frequently laughs so hard she cries.
"It appeals to a particular sense of humor and that's us 100 percent," she said. "It's very awkward, and I find awkward situations hilarious."

While the comedy was shot in California, it made liberal use of props from Scranton and referenced plenty of real-life landmarks, from Cooper's Seafood House and Poor Richard's pub to Lake Wallenpaupack and the Lackawanna County Coal Mine Tour.

Scranton hosted a similar blowout, the "Office Convention," in 2007.
On stage Saturday, Wilson paid fans the ultimate backhanded compliment — befitting his character, Dwight Schrute, a paper salesman utterly lacking in social graces.

"'The Office' fans are the greatest fans in the world!" he said. "Next to Seahawks fans."

To add insult to injury, her hubby, Daniel “Boobie” Gibson, threw fuel on the fire when he too began posting subliminal messages such as:

Last night, the couple decided that they had had enough of the subliminal tweeting and the rumors that were quickly spreading about their marriage.  Boobie hopped on Twitter and posted a few cute pics of the couple while slamming reports that there was any trouble to begin with.

Nia Long and ime udoka, The “Big Momma’s House” actress and her basketball player husband Ime Udoka welcomed a baby boy, their first child together, on Monday, he rep told E! Online.

Long, who is also a mother to a 10-year-old boy from a previous relationship, named her newborn son Kez Sunday Udoka.


“This is the most exciting time in our lives,” Long and Udoka told People in a statement this past June when they announced they were expecting. “Words can’t explain how thrilled we are by the new addition to our family. We feel truly blessed and appreciate all the well wishes and prayers.”

Nia Long was initially told by her doctor that it would be difficult for her to get pregnant at 40 years old. The actress told Ebony Magazine in her recent cover story:

“I honestly asked God for this. I remember I was driving home from the doctor, and I called [my boyfriend] Ime, and I was like,

‘Babe, I’m really kind of sad right now. The doctor actually said if I wanted to have more children, it would be hard.’ The next time [Ime] came to visit, he said, ‘I don’t believe that.’ I said, ‘You don’t?’ He said, ‘No.’ And I said, ‘Good, me neither.’ Then I got pregnant.”

Nikki hoopz alexander shaquille o'neal, And so another high-profile relationship comes to a screeching halt. This time it's Shaquille O'Neal and reality TV's Nicole "Hoopz" Alexander calling it quits.

The Boston Globe (h/t Daily Mail) reports the former NBA superstar and current analyst for TNT's Inside the NBA decided the time had come to end his longtime relationship with Alexander, who appeared in VH1's Flavor of Love and I Love Money.

The two were seen back in Boston just a few weeks ago as O'Neal finished up some scenes for the new Adam Sandler movie, Grown Ups 2.

There is no confirmation as to exactly what went wrong with the relationship. However, gossip site MediaTakeOut.com states the split came directly from O'Neal in response to a fight the two had outside of an Orlando-area gym.

According to their sources, the two attempted to gain entry to Orlando Metro Gymnastics, but Alexander was turned away because the establishment only trains young women 18 years old or under, citing insurance purposes.

Allegedly, Alexander completely lost it and went on a tirade. According to MediaTakeOut.com, Shaq was abhorred by the scene, and a spat began between the two outside the gym.

After Alexander allegedly launched some nasty names his way, O'Neal called it a day on the whole relationship. Of course, we take the report with a grain of salt, but a similar report can be seen at 24HourHipHop.com.

For her part, Alexander is calling out the reports as false. At least, that is what we presume she is tweeting about here.

O'Neal was previously married to Shawnie O'Neal for seven years, the woman who would later produce and star in Basketball Wives, a show heavy on altercations.

We'll take the rumors of how O'Neal and Alexander broke up with the usual amount of cynicism, but caution Shaq to tread lightly in his next relationship.

Perhaps a little less drama.

Kris' lawyer tried to find old footage from the show, “Kourtney and Kim Take New York,” to prove that Kim and her family had tricked him, but he couldn't find anything. He even claimed that Kim cheated with Kanye during their marriage, but he couldn't even find evidence of that.

Now that they have settled their divorce, it sounds like Kim is dishing out the evidence Kris was looking for. According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report published on May 3, Kim Kardashian shared a sexy picture with Kanye, taken while she was dating Kris Humphries.

According to the report, Kim posted a picture for “Flashbach Friday” and shared an old picture of her and Kanye. “Another Flashback Friday #jam”
Kim tweeted, while sharing the picture of the two of them together. They are posing together, but it appears that there is more between them than just a friendly flirt.

It appears that the picture was taken for Kim's song, “Jam (Turn It Up), which was recorded for a music video back in late 2010. However, Kris and Kim started dating about a month before the video was filmed. If Kris had found this picture before he settled the divorce, he may have been able to convince the judge that there was more between Kim and Kanye at the time.

Italy tornado: A powerful and rare tornado strike rips up Italy, Dramatic footage has emerged of a tornado that ripped through northern Italy Friday, damaging hundreds of buildings and injuring at least 11 people, says CBS News May 4.

Amateur video distributed via YouReporter, a web portal for citizen journalists, showed dramatic scenes from towns and villages close to Emilia Romagna's regional capital Bologna.

Footage showed the tornado directly over the small village of Bentivoglio, whipping debris hundreds of feet into the air.

Franca Fantuzzi, a native of Bentivoglio, was away from her home when the storm hit.

"Fortunately, I and my children had taken a holiday so we weren't here," she said, gazing at the damage.

Many farmers were out on their land and were caught up in the twister, like Sandro Roversi, who took shelter under his tractor.

Pointing to his vehicle, covered in debris, he said: "I couldn't move, it came so quickly, I was inside. I threw myself underneath, and I was OK. It was an enormous force, enormous."

Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported that 11 people were injured and several houses were damaged by the twister, which are a rare occurrence in Italy.

The governor of Emilia Romagna, Vasco Errani, asked the central government to declare a state of emergency.

Italy's agricultural watchdog Coldiretti warned of millions of euros of damage to farms and crops.

The same area was devastated by an earthquake in May 2012.

“I had so much fun hosting the CMT Awards last year, so I was thrilled to be invited back this year,” says Bell. “I think Jason Aldean is one of country music’s best and promises to be an excellent co-host.”

Bell announced her return earlier this week, while the duo revealed Aldean’s involvement by tweeting a photo of the country singer donning a Veronica Mars t-shirt. Bell, meanwhile, modeled a concert tee from one of Aldean’s shows.

“I’m always looking for new challenges,” said Aldean. “Hosting a show has always seemed fun, but it has never felt like the right time.

I think now that I’ve checked a few big things off my bucket list recently, I want to keep pushing myself. I’m excited that I’ll have Kristen to lean on, too … She and I have spent a little time together, and she always cracks me up. Plus, I heard she’s got a thing for ‘Big Green Tractors,’ so we’ve got that in common."

Aldean is an 11-time CMT Award nominee and has been a CMT Artist of the Year honoree each of the three years the title has been awarded.

His Night Train Tour has already made history this year, making him the first country act to sell out Boston’s Fenway Park. In fact, the tour has sold out every date thus far, including Madison Square Garden, two nights in Fenway and another stop at Chicago’s Wrigley Field.

Bell is set to star in the film adaptation of Veronica Mars, which recently came to fruition after a groundbreaking stint on the crowd-funding site KickStarter. To top it off, she also recently gave birth to her first child with fiance Dax Shepard, a baby girl named Lincoln.

Last year, the House of Lies star shared hosting duties with Toby Keith.
